Harrison Becker
Studio Lead & CEO
Harrison Becker is a programmer & game designer by trade with strong leadership skills. Forming Steep Curve Studios in 2021, Harrison wanted to create a place where developers all across the experience spectrum could come and hone their craft in an inclusive and accepting environment. Outside of game development, Harrison works as a teacher for students 5th-12th grade in Technical Theater at Wooster School. Steep Curve Studios has offered game development internships to Wooster students through their Senior Independent Study Program. Harrison has worked on all Steep Curve Studios projects in many roles ranging from voice acting, UX design and programing. His primary roles outside of studio leadership are Lead Programmer for Don’t Get Blacklisted and Memorial Tomb, and Producer / Lead Programmer for the upcoming Project “Space Odyssey”

Alejandro (Alex) Ruata
Studio Lead & Lead Designer
Alejandro Luis Ruata is a volunteer game designer, game producer, and 3D Artist. As lead designer, he helped create and layout the framework for the puzzles and plot that hold “Don’t Get Blacklisted” together. His participation with “Memorial Tomb” was as producer, artist, designer, and creator. “Memorial Tomb,” a game encapsulating the COVID-19 pandemic from start to present, is the final product of his studies as a graduate student of the Interactive Media program at Clark University. His research and M.F.A. thesis focuses on analyzing the positive mental effects of video games as a form of art on its players during times of global crisis. He is excited to get his name out there and work in a production, design, or art capacity in the larger games industry.

Nick Kent
Lead Audio Designer & Lead Composer
Nicholas Kent Williams is a multi-instrumentalist musician and composer based in Berkeley, California. Nick is the lead audio designer and composer at Steep Curve Studios, having recorded soundtracks for upcoming titles, “Don’t Get Blacklisted,” “Memorial Tomb,” and the upcoming web series, “Code Rage.” He is an audio engineer for theater and live venues, creating thoughtful and memorable experiences for audiences and patrons alike.

Jeremy Michael Jones
Programmer
Jeremy Michael Jones is a volunteer game programmer. He helped make the functionality for some of the puzzles for “Don’t Get Blacklisted.” Some of those puzzles were A Prime Time, Stack ‘em Buy ‘em Blocks, Desperately Seeking Savings and The Ballad of Barry ‘Rodrigo’ Goldstein. During his college days, he worked on projects like Mystria, Line Slider, Roller Riot and Triage. He was a quality assurance tester for Roller Riot. He made the build verification test and systems test for Roller Riot. For Line Slider, he made 7 new mechanics that could be used for World 2. Some of those mechanics were slow down time, reverse time, and gravity flipping. He also finished World 2 of Line Slider by designing the 4 last levels.

Scotty Tomaino
Screenwriter & Editor
Scotty Tomaino is a Manhattan-based screenwriter and editor. She recently graduated with a BA in Film & Screen Studies from Pace University, and was the primary editor for Don't Get Blacklisted's second trailer, and the editor for Memorial Tomb’s trailer.

Joey Cerulli
Lighting Designer
Joey Cerulli is a fresh high school graduate working with Steep Curve after they helped him achieve his dreams as part of his senior project. He works on the lighting systems within games such as Memorial Tomb, but occasionally also brings the humor and stories for Steep Curve’s YouTube series, Code Rage. Beyond the studio, Joey is a freshman at Union college and is working towards becoming a computer engineer to hopefully one day start the robot uprising. He is an avid puzzle game enjoyer, but loves to dip his toes into many different genres of video games in his free time. He is honored to work with Steep Curve and can’t wait to say “let there be light” in future projects.

Mikaela Landisman
Graphic Artist
Mikaela Landisman is a game design artist, current Game Design BA student at Hampshire College, and career cozy gamer. As an artist at Steep Curve Studios she is excited to work on upcoming projects. Mikaela aspires to create create the games
that she would love to play that have yet to be created. Through video games as
medium, she wants to tell stories that are fun, meaningful, and will stay with the
player long after they’ve completed them. In addition to game design, Mikaela is a creative writer and adventurous Sagittarius.

Cole Klimoski is a 2D artist and graphic Designer. He has experience with multiple Adobe software products and various other art software. He was the lead artist for "Dont Get Blacklisted" and an artist for "Memorial Tomb".

Jacob Alexander Czerepica
Designer & Writer
Jacob Alexander Czerepica, also known as Lungara, is a game designer, creative writer, and character artist/designer. He has leadership experience gained from working in large and small teams. His writing experiences include game writing, home crafted tabletop rpg expansions, and novel writing. He also has multiple personal pieces working with writing and character design/art which can be viewed from his social media or portfolio. In Memorial Tomb, he has contributed to design, 2d art pieces, and a handful of written plagues/dialogue.

Edward (Ed) Greig
3D Artist
Ed is a 3D Artist and Designer studying at BDST at Clark University. Ed has served as the lead 3D artist and designer for “Memorial Tomb” and carefully created the museum, multiple art pieces and many of the props for the game. Ed is set to graduate in Spring 2023 with his bachelors, and the following year with his masters.

Ian Perkins
2D Artist & Writer
Ian Perkins is a volunteer game designer, 2-D Artist and Writer. An Interactive Media undergrad at Clark University, his main focus is “Memorial Tomb,” a VR walking simulator that shines a light on both the good and bad of the Covid-19 pandemic. His main work for “Memorial Tomb” are 2-D art pieces/sketches, the writing for installation plaques, lines for the narrator/guide, and the introduction. He is eager to flex his narrative muscle in character creation, narrative design, and art in different studio environments.

Deniz Yazar
Lead Environmental Artist & 2D Artist
Deniz Yazar is a volunteer 2D artist with a specialization in environment art and asset creation for our team's projects. While formally trained in traditional illustration and cartooning practices from the School of Visual Arts, he’s been able to shift styles with pixel art proficiently in both his roles as a supporting 2D artist in DGB and as Lead Environmental Artist our active project Memory Lane.
